Professor Pai was born in Guangxi, China in 1937. He had
resided in Guailin, Nanking & Shanghai during his childhood. Professor
Pai moved to Hong Kong in 1949 and studied there for 3 years. In 1952,
he moved to Taiwan and studied at Taiwan University where he later gradated
from the College of Foreign Languages. Professor Pai has published a number
of novels and collections of short stories such as Wandering in the Garden,
Waking from a Dream: Tales of Taipei Characters. His stories have been
translated into different varieties of languages and attracted readers
of different origin. |
