The Global Citizenship Programme The Global Citizenship Programme is an initiative of The Dragon Foundation since 2004, which is tailored for local outstanding young people. It aims at enhancing these young future leaders the understanding of the importance and responsibility of an engaged global citizen, and helping them to develop an international perspective and a sense of concern to global trends. The 2008 Global Citizenship Programme, initiated by The Dragon Foundation and managed by the Institute of International Education (IIE), will have sixty participants this year. There will be two 8-day programmes, in Geneva from 6-13 June 2008, and in New York from 20-27 June 2008. Thirty participants will attend each programme. |

Dragon 100 Young Chinese Leaders Forum 2008 Dragon 100 is an annual flagship programme which began in 2002. 100 future ethnic Chinese leaders aged 18-35 are brought together to discuss topical issues of global importance, and explore about Chinese culture and heritage. Participants must have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills, excellent academic and non-academic achievements, and a strong commitment to the community. The Programme aims at generating synergy among these young leaders of Chinese ethnicity, so that across the world can they work together, strengthen ties between Chinese people worldwide, and build up networks for future contributions to societies. |

Lecture Series for Youth Leaders Guest Speaker: Eminent modern Chinese-language novelist Dr Louis Cha Over 900 young people in Hong Kong attended the 15th Lecture Series for Youth Leaders on 7 September 2007, where the famous modern Chinese-language novelist Dr Louis Cha shared with them the profound Chinese history and culture, his experience in writing novels and also the hard work which had led to his outstanding achievements. |
